DMU Being Commissioned to Revitalize the Prestigious Adolphus Hotel in Dallas

Rockbridge Capital, the Columbus Ohio base private equity firm, has commissioned Design Duncan Miller Ullmann (DMU)  to assist redesign of the prestigious Adolphus Hotel, in the main street District of Dallas, Texas.  The property originally opened it's doors on October 5, 1912 after being developed by Anheuser-Busch founder, Adolphus Busch. It has hosted generations of US Presidents, politicians, sports and entertainment celebrities and at one time was the Dallas platform to host the emerging comedians Bob Hope and Benny Goodman. After a years of piecemeal additions  (in 1916, 1926 and 1950) that left the property disjointed, coupled with a significant renovation in the early 80's, the property lost it's competitive edge to newcomers to the luxury Dallas market such as Ritz Carlton, Rosewood and recently the W Hotel.  DMU's role as Interior Designers will be to bring the property back to cohesion, restore the luster and inject a sense of sophisticated style. Rockbridge, seeing an opportunity to re-christen the Beaux Arts style beauty, intends to restore the property to grandeur, bringing the property back to the forefront of the regional luxury market.
